Modern advertisement techniques use different ways to convey messages to target audiences. Print media is however one of the oldest but very effective ways to communicate to large number of people. Print advertising is always ranked as one of the most popular forms of advertising for its ability to reach wider target audience. Here is information about some most important types of print advertisement strategies:
Newspapers
A newspaper is a regularly published paper that contains current news, information and advertisement. Newspapers are printed on comparatively cheap and substandard paper. Business people can get their news published in any local newspaper without any cost.
Magazines
Magazines, periodicals, glossies or serials are publications that are usually published on a regular schedule containing a variety of articles about different interesting topics. People fond of reading magazines will get topics of their own choice in magazine ranging from fashion to business news or cooking recipes, jokes or true stories etc. Businesses can advertise their new offers via these magazines to their target customers.
Newsletters
A newsletter is regularly distributed publication containing information about one main topic that would be of greater interest of its subscribers. Newspapers and leaflets are types of newsletters. This type of print advertisement has got much fame as best business advertisement technique.
Business Cards
Printing business cards with basic information about business is also one of the most commonly used print advertisement strategies. Design of business card should be according to nature of business for instance, plumbing business card will contain images of plumbing tools or other accessories. Similarly a business card of a photographer will contain picture of photography equipment etc. Business name, business logo, business phone number, business email address and business address will be given on a business card.
Brochures
Brochure is also a type of leaflet. Brochures are usually used at places where tourists visit like museums, major shops, colleges, clubs, hotels etc.  Most commonly used type of brochure is interpersonal brochures which are based on other people. Brochures may be single sheet brochures, bi-fold or tri-fold brochures. A bi-fold brochure results in four panels while a tri-fold brochure results in six panels. Brochure designs are also made very creatively to attract people’s attention and convey important business information.
Posters
Poster is a type of printed advertisement which is a piece of paper designed to be attached to a wall or any vertical place to attract viewer’s attention. Posters are designed using both text and images but a poster can be designed wholly using text or using images only. Posters can be used for many purposes for instance to advertise an event, business or any campaign.  Design of poster and information on poster are two key elements that make posters attractive.
Pamphlets
A pamphlet is an open booklet. A pamphlet is an advertising tool that is used without any hard wrap or binding. A pamphlet may consist of a single sheet printed from both sides and folded in half, thirds or even in fourths. Role of pamphlet in business can be considered from the fact that it contains lots of information about business moreover it doesn’t need to be printed on expensive paper.
