Ways to Reward Your Employees


Every business wants to have a team of motivated employees. They work more efficiently and give more output. Using monetary or other awards to improve motivation of employees is very effective idea but you need to appreciate employees for their performance with great justice. How you should develop strategies for rewarding employees is discussed below. Here is collection of tips that will help you in rewarding your employees:
  • Send your employees a recognition memo from manager.
  • You may flex some work hours of best performing employee as a reward. This way to reward your employee will result in more gain with less pain.
  • Send a handwritten appreciation note to the employees who deserve recognition for instance you may write thank-you notes to employees for their motivation and encourage them for future involvement in business operations.
  • Be flexible at work when you achieve you production goals. Make work fun because employee morale goes down with work stress therefore arrange a weekly fun event to boost morale of employees.
  • Make sure to introduce employees with key suppliers, customers or officials in senior management. It will encourage an employee to rise up level of his performance and it will cost nothing to you.

  • You can create a frame in the reception area. Put photo of each employee of the month and etch their names on a master plaque with words of acknowledgment.
  • Allowing your employee to go for a free car wash and get a tank full of serve gas as reward and give him an off day to spend with family.
  • Give a “Golden” award that your employees will pass to next employee of the month each time.
  • Be creative in determining awards for employees. Create different performance appraisal certificates that your employees will keep with them.
  • Give them a target at the start of month and reward them money if they achieve their targets.
  • On consecutive achievements of monthly goals, you should reward your employees with promotion.
